Dr. Kogan has been president of the Alameda Contra Costa Medical Association and served on the clinical practice committee for the American Gastroenterological Association. He is currently a member of the California delegation to the American Medical Association and has been elected as a fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association.
Dr. Kogan is board-certified and has a professional interest in all aspects of consultative and therapeutic gastroenterology, particularly in colon cancer screening and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Kogan earned his medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago and completed his internal medical residency at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
