Mutare Health names Dr. Lawrence Kosinski CMO

Mutare Health has named gastroenterologist Lawrence Kosinski, MD, MBA, AGAF, its chief medical officer.

Dr. Kosinski is a managing partner of Illinois Gastroenterology Group and president of Elgin Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center. He led the development of Project Sonar at IGG, an intensive medical home for Crohn’s disease management. The project was developed in partnership with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.

Project Sonar integrates clinical decision support, outcomes data and patient engagement tools to improve overall care of Crohn’s disease patients and reduce the chance of hospitalization.

Dr. Kosinski and Mutare Health will add smartphone technology using Mutare’s Vital Link secure communication platform.

Mutare Health aims to connect people and health information in meaningful ways.
