GI physician leader to know: Dr. Lawrence Kosinski of Illinois Gastroenterology Group

Lawrence Kosinski, MD, MBA, is a managing partner at Elgin-based Illinois Gastroenterology Group, which includes seven endoscopy centers. He provides care at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where he is a member of the board of directors, as well as at Elgin Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center and Algonquin (Ill.) Road Surgery Center. He also serves as the Practice Management and Economics Committee chairman of the American Gastroenterology Association.

Dr. Kosinski is also a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Health Information Management Systems Society. He also serves as member of the advisory board of the Illinois Health Information Exchange. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology.

Dr. Kosinski earned his medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., where he also completed his residency and fellowship. He earned his MBA at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business in Chicago.
