Dr. Scolapio focuses on nutrition support including enteral nutrition and total parenteral nutrition delivery. His research interests include short bowel syndrome, nutrition support in GI illness and medical education. His work has been published in a number of professional journals, including The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Pancreas and Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology.
Dr. Scolapio earned his medical degree at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., where he also completed his gastroenterology fellowship.
