Dr. Barrison is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Medical Association. He has professional expertise in celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer prevention. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
Dr. Barrison regularly attends gastroenterology symposiums and conferences. He is the author or co-author of numerous articles and abstracts that have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as American Journal of Medicine, Gastroenterology and Evidence-Based Gastroenterology.
Dr. Barrison earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York. He completed his residency at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and his fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center.
