Salem Endoscopy Center celebrates 10th anniversary: 4 things to know

Salem (Ore.) Endoscopy Center has been open for decade, and the center plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary, according to Oregon Live report.

Here are four things to know.

1. Salem Endoscopy Center will hold an open house on Nov. 4. The event will focus on dispelling common myths about colonoscopy and gluten intolerance, according to the report.

2. Gastroenterologist Robert Ponec, MD, will launch the event. Dr. Ponec will discuss the importance of colorectal cancer screening, as well as the “80 percent by 2018” initiative.

3. The endoscopy center is affiliated with Salem Gastro, which was established in 1979.

4. Ten gastroenterologists perform procedures at the center.
