GI leader to know: Dr. Smruti Mohanty of Brooklyn Methodist Hospital

 
Smruti R. Mohanty, MD, is the gastroenterology and hepatobiliary diseases chief at New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Mohanty is the center for liver diseases director, and is a member of the gastroenterology fellowship faculty at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Before joining Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Dr. Mohanty practiced at the University of Chicago Transplant Center.

He specializes in hepatology, and is board-certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.
