GI leader to know: Dr. Scott Altschuler of Treasure Coast GI

Scott Altschuler, MD, is a gastroenterologist and the founder of Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based Treasure Coast GI.

After earning his medical degree and completing his residency at Boston University, Dr. Altschuler completed a fellowship at Charlottesville-based University of Virginia, where he also earned a master’s degree.

Dr. Altschuler opened Treasure Coast GI in 2011.

He specializes in performing colon cancer screening, colonoscopies, endoscopy and pill capsule endoscopy.

Dr. Altschuler is a member of the Florida Gastroenterology Society, American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association, among others.
