Dr. Davis earned his medical degree from Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a residency at Augusta-based Medical College of Georgia. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After completing his service, he accepted a fellowship at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine.
After completing his fellowship, he joined Baylor as a clinical associate professor of gastroenterology.
Dr. Davis is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians and American Gastroenterological Association. He is a past president of the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
Several organizations have awarded him top physician honors.
