GI leader to know: Dr. Jeffrey Basile of Charleston GI

Jeffrey Basile, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Charleston (S.C.) GI.

Dr. Basile is a specialist in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed both an internship and residency at the University of Virginia Health System before he had a fellowship at the Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Basile is affiliated with several hospitals in South Carolina including Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and Roper Hospital.

His board certification is from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
