Fasiha Kanwal, MD, is chief of gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

In addition to her role as chief of gastroenterology, Dr. Kanwal is a professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and serves as editor-in-chief of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Kanwal serves as chair of the practice metrics committee for the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and is also an American College of Gastroenterology committee member.

She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. .
