Dr. Gerhardt earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University. He completed an internship and residency at St. Louis-based St. John’s Mercy Medical Center and a fellowship at Columbia-based University of Missouri Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is an American College of Physicians and American Gastroenterological Association fellow.
In 2005, the American College of Physicians Missouri Chapter awarded Dr. Gerhardt its Laureate Award for his “abiding commitment to excellence in medical care, education, research and service.”
