After earning her medical degree from Cleveland, Ohio-based Case Western Reserve University, she completed a residency at New York City-based NYU Bellevue Hospital, where she served as the first woman senior chief resident. She then completed a fellowship at UC San Francisco.
Dr. Read is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Seattle-based University of Washington. She is also an assistant professor of medicine at UC San Francisco.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Read enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, cooking, studying art history and enjoying basketball.
