Emmy, a platform that connects individuals to surgery patients to accompany them on their return home after surgery, partnered with The Endoscopy Center of New York and Westside GI Center. Both organizations are based in New York City.

Top Doctors Award recognized William Maher, MD, of Atlantic Digestive Specialists in Somersworth, N.H., as a 2017 Top Doctor.

WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and the Martinsburg Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of a new outpatient surgery center offering GI services Dec. 21. Both organizations are in Martinsburg, W. Va.
