GI center to know: Digestive Diseases Center

The Digestive Diseases Center at University of Chicago Medicine has been serving Chicago and the Chicagoland area since 1927.

The DDC is the first hospital-based gastroenterology center in the U.S.

U.S. News and World Report ranked the center among the best gastroenterology programs in the nation.

The center treats more than 5,000 cases annually.

The center opened a new headquarters in February 2013.
