Gastroenterology chief joins Beth Israel board

Douglas Pleskow, MD, joined the trustee advisory board of Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Wicked Local Needham reports.

Dr. Pleskow’s numerous roles include serving as clinical chief of gastroenterology at Beth Israel, associate clinical professor of medicine at Boston-based Harvard Medical School, and co-director of the Boston International Live Endoscopy Course.

Dr. Pleskow won the National Pancreas Foundation’s Man of the Year award in 2009. The Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association bestowed him its Distinguished Service Award in 2015, and he is heavily involved in several gastroenterology professional societies.
