Howard Koh, MD, MPH, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary for health, told members of Congress that non-profits, professional organizations and government organizations such as HHS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intend to publicize the importance of screening in community health sites across the country.
The event, in light of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, was sponsored by the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
