Gastroenterologist to know: Dr. Graham Barnard of UMass Memorial Medical Center

Graham F. Barnard, MD, PhD, is a gastroenterologist and the director of liver transplantation at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass. He is also an associate professor of medicine and biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Barnard’s interests include gastroenterology, transplant hepatology, hepatology and liver transplantation. He earned his medical degree from Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Barnard also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
