Dr. Comerford comes to the Medical Center Clinic after serving on the faculty of Medical University of South Carolina, where he was director of the inflammatory bowel disease program and associate director of the GI fellowship training program.
He received his MD from MUSC and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Comerford then received fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville.
