Dr. Schneider retired from Chapman Medical Center in Orange, Calif., where he served as director of education in the chemical dependency unit since 1997.
Dr. Schneider received his MD from the University of Buffalo (N.Y.). He served both his internship and residency at Buffalo (N.Y.) General Hospital, and performed a fellowship in gastroenterology as a Harvard Medical School fellow/assistant in medicine in the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston.
He retired from private practice in 1981.
