Gastroenterologist Dr. David Johnson Receives ACG Honor

Gastroenterologist David A. Johnson, MD, is the American College of Gastroenterology’s 2012 recipient of the Berk/Fise Clinical Achievement Award, according to a news release.

The award, formerly known as the ACG Clinical Achievement Award, is given annually to recognize an individual for “distinguished contributions to clinical gastroenterology over a significant period of time.”

 

Dr. Johnson is a professor of internal medicine and chief of the division of gastroenterology for Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is a former president of ACG.
