Dr. Stokes has practiced medicine in the southeast since 2006. He is now practicing full time at Tri-Lakes Medical Center. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery, advanced gastroenterological surgery and advanced endoscopy and ultrasounds.
Dr. Stokes received his MD from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He then completed a general surgery residency at Graduate Hospital (Tenet Health System) in Philadelphia, and a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where he focused on advanced laparoscopy, endoscopy and ultrasound.
