Florida GI practice adds gastroenterologist

Bradenton-based Florida Digestive Health Specialists added Jaime Baquero, MD, to its Sarasota, Fla., clinic.

Dr. Baquero comes to FDHS from Atlantic Digestive Specialists in Somersworth, N.H. He earned his medical degree from Colombia-based Escuela Colombiana de Medicina. He completed an internship and residency at Boston-based Harvard Medical School before completing a gastroenterology fellowship at Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic.

He is the third gastroenterologist FDHS has hired in the past year. The practice anticipates adding five more gastroenterologists over the next six months.
