Florida gastroenterologist faces child pornography charges — 4 insights

Oviedo (Fla.) police charged Trinetra Vaidya, MD, with possession of child pornography after he allegedly asked his girlfriend to take photographs of her 11- and 12-year-old children, the Orlando Sun Sentinel reports.

Four things you should know:

1. Dr. Vaidya allegedly asked girlfriend Katja Goen to take pictures of her children while they were showering or changing.

2. One of the children allegedly discovered the messages while using Ms. Goen’s computer.

3. Ms. Goen allegedly admitted to taking the photos and discussing the photo via message but denied sharing the photos.

4. Dr. Vaidya was arrested Jan. 8.
