Endoscopic Surveillance of Barrett’s Esophagus Not Linked With Cancer Survival

Researchers have determined endoscopic surveillance of Barrett’s esophagus does not decrease the mortality risk of esophageal cancer, according to a study in Gastroenterology.

Researchers looked at 38 patients with BE who died from adenocarcinoma and 101 who did not. They were unable to link surveillance at three years and survival rates.
