Drs. Michael Demeure, Adam Goodmnan and more: 3 GI physicians making headlines

Becker’s GI Review profiled the following three GI physicians between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12.

New York City-based NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn added Adam Goodman, MD, to its staff, appointing him director of endoscopy and quality. Dr. Goodman also serves as an associate professor of medicine at New York City-based NYU School of Medicine.

TransMed7, a medical device company, appointed Michael Demeure, MD, chair of its endocrine and gastrointestinal health team. Dr. Demeure is the program director for precision medicine at Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag Family Cancer Institute and an adjunct professor at Phoenix-based Translational Genomics Research Institute.

The American Liver Foundation’s Greater New York Division recognized Myron Schwartz, MD, with its 2017 New York Physician of the Year award. Dr. Schwartz is a professor of surgery at New York City-based Icahn School of Medicine. He also serves as the director of liver surgery at New York City-based Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute.
