Dr. Theresa Ruddy joins Oswego Health: 4 notes

Oswego (N.Y.) Health added colorectal surgeon Theresa Ruddy, MD, to its staff, Oswego County Today reports.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. Dr. Ruddy specializes in colonoscopies and colorectal resections.

2. She began her career after earning her medical degree from State University of New York. She completed a residency at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center and another residency at State University of New York. She finished a fellowship at Providence, R.I.-based Brown University.

3. Dr. Ruddy was a finalist for the American College of Surgeons’ Resident Award for Exemplary Teaching.

4. Outside of her career, she enjoys spending time with her family.
