Dr. Rajeev Tummuru Brings Endoscopic Ultrasounds to Porter Regional Hospital

Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso, Ind., added a new gastroenterologist who brought with him the training to perform endoscopic ultrasounds.

Rajeev Tummuru, MD, helped bring the new procedure to Porter, one of the first hospitals in the area to offer it. Endoscopic ultrasounds detect abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract and can determine the stage of some cancers.
