Maxime M. Mahe, MS, PhD, has won the 2016 AGA-Athena Troxel Blackburn Award.

1. Dr. Mahe is an instructor in the department of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
2. Dr. Mahe plans to use the award funds to become an independent investigator.
3. His research centers on investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the effect of the centeric nervous system on intestinal growth and function.
4. He will build on his recent research exploring generations of human intestinal tissue.
