Dr. Andrew Rhim Receives AGA Digestive Cancer Award, $40k Grant

The American Gastroenterological Association has awarded Andrew Rhim, MD, board-certified gastroenterologist, its AGA-Caroline Craig Augustyn and Damian Augustyn Award in Digestive Cancer, which will provide a $40,000 grant for his research on cancer progression, regeneration and pancreas development.

Dr. Rhim is currently with the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

The award was created in memory of Damian Augustyn, MD, and his wife Caroline Augustyn, MD.
