ConMed wins $36M defense contract

Minimally invasive devicemaker ConMed was awarded a $36 million five-year contract from the U.S. Department of Defense, the Business Journal News Network reports.

What you should know:

1. Under the contract, ConMed can earn up to $36 million over the next five years.

2. The contract is based around hospital equipment and accessories for the Defense Logistics Agency electronic catalog.

3. ConMed beat out 102 other companies to earn the contract.
