Check-Cap receives USPTO notice of allowance for its capsule endoscopy system

Check-Cap has received a notice of allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its patent application covering its preparation-free capsule endoscopy system, according to a Street Insider report.

Once the patent is granted, it is expected to last through 2031, according to the report. The company plans to file for CE marking later this year. Clinical trials for FDA approval will be initiated in 2016.
