Cellvizio pCLE technology can improve GI condition diagnosis & management, study says

Research published in the United European Gastroenterology Journal suggests that Cellvizio, a probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy system from Mauna Kea Technologies, can improve the diagnosis and management of a number of GI conditions, according to an IBD News Today report.

The study identifies Barrett’s esophagus, colorectal lesions, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic cysts, biliopancreatic strictures and gastric diseases as conditions that could be benefit from the use of Cellvizio.

The technology form Mauna Kea hold both FDA 510(k) clearance and a European CE Mark.
