Case Western Reserve will join six other institutions –– including Harvard and Johns Hopkins –– that already have been designated as a specialized program of research excellence in gastrointestinal cancers.

Case Western Reserve will use the new funds to develop tests to identify persons susceptible to GI cancers, prevention methods, treatments and clinical trials to apply the advances directly to patients.
