Capsule endoscopy company Check-Cap names new CEO

Check-Cap, a capsule endoscopy developer, has named William Densel as CEO and director.

Mr. Densel joined the company this year as president of U.S. operations. He succeeds Guy Neev as CEO of Check-Cap.

Mr. Densel has held leadership positions at companies including Boston Scientific, Genzyme Biosurgery and Hologic.

“As we prepare to execute on near and long-term corporate and clinical milestones, including a CE mark application and the commencement of an FDA pivotal study next year, our board of directors and management team believes that Bill’s experience and track record will enable us to effectively and efficiently realize our clinical, regulatory and reimbursement goals,” said Tomer Kariv, Check-Cap’s board chairman.
