Capital Digestive Care Joins Colon Cancer Alliance to Reach Underserved Communities

Capital Digestive Care, a Washington, D.C.-based physician group, will serve as the founding partner of a Colon Cancer Alliance program in its area to provide care for underserved communities.

Together Capital Digestive Care and Colon Cancer Alliance will work to reach African Americans, the primary underserved community in the Washington, D.C. area. African Americans are diagnosed with colon cancer 20 percent more than any other ethnic group.

The new partnership aims to boost screening rates among at-risk communities.
