Boston Scientific closes EndoChoice purchase: 4 things to know

Marlborough, Mass.-based Boston Scientific completed its purchase of Alpharetta, Ga.-based EndoChoice for $210 million in cash, the Minnesota StarTribune reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Boston Scientific closed the transaction on Nov. 22, 2016.

2. Boston Scientific will fold in EndoChoice’s portfolio into its product line.

3. Boston Scientific said it would evaluate its “strategic options” for the Full Spectrum Endoscopy colonoscope. It’ll announce any plans it has for the device by the year’s end.

4. Boston Scientific isn’t projecting this deal to affect its earnings this year, and it expects profitability in the following years.
