Here’s what you should know:

1. Esophageal adenocarcinoma is one of the fastest growing cancers in the U.S., but gastroenterologists have the technology to prevent this cancer before it ever starts.

2. The campaign will launch in Washington, D.C., with a presence in both airports and in train terminals.

3. ASGE President Karen Woods, MD, said, “We hope that our PSA campaign will encourage more Americans with chronic heartburn to see a gastroenterologist and take advantage of our recently enhanced ability to prevent one of the most rapidly growing cancers in the U.S.”
