Albany Medical Center adds Dr. Charles Casale: 3 things to know

Gastroenterologist Charles Casale, MD, is joining the Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center’s Community Division of Gastroenterology, The Altamont Enterprise reports.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. Dr. Casale is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist. He treats a full range of GI diseases and disorders.

2. His career began after he earned his medical degree from Belgium’s University of Antwerp. He completed a residency at the Waterbury Medical Center and a fellowship at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, both in New Haven, Conn.

3. Dr. Casale is a touted lecturer and researcher. He has been a clinical investigator on research about hepatitis B and irritable bowel syndrome.
