Here’s what you should know.

1. Physicians don’t have an ample understanding of how IBD care impacts pregnant women. This lack of knowledge impacts women who fear what could happen to their baby.

2. The working group will be funded by UCB, a pharmaceutical company.

3. AGA, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and patient support network Girls With Guts developed the working group.

4. Upon creation of the pathway, the working group will begin a series of outreach initiatives to raise awareness of the new resource.
