6 new GI-driven ASCs and facilities — January 2018

Here are six gastroenterology-focused ASCs or facilities that were newly opened or announced in January.

WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and the Martinsburg Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of a new outpatient surgery center offering gastroenterology and ophthalmology services.

Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health opened its 22,000-square-foot, $17 million Jefferson Surgery Center, which focuses on gastroenterology among other specialties.

Southlake-based Texas Digestive Disease Consultants entered into the Houston market through the recently announced addition of Greater Houston Gastroenterology.

Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of University of Southern California recently opened the Norris Healthcare Center, a 116,000-square-foot facility with an outpatient surgical center offering GI services among other specialties.

Pueblo, Colo.-based Parkview Medical Center opened a new outpatient center with four endoscopy suites.

The Hospital Authority of Tift County will break ground on a replacement facility which will include an outpatient surgery center for Adel, Ga.-based Cook Medical Center. The surgery center will offer GI services, among others.
