Madison, Wis.-based Exact Sciences and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield partnered to provide Cologuard in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Sixty-nine percent of Anthem’s 37.6 million members now reside in states where Cologuard is provided as an in-network service.

2. Exact Sciences contracted with Anthem in eight states and is seeking to enter similar agreements with additional Anthem affiliates in 2016.

3. Anthem is the second-largest commercial health insurer in the United States and is the largest private insurer in Virginia, Georgia, Indiana and Wisconsin.

4. Cologuard is an FDA-approved stool DNA noninvasive colorectal cancer screening test.
