Dr. Korman and his team are conducting research at the Chevy Chase (Md.) Clinical Research facility. The CFM is designed to monitor the amount of force applied during a colonoscopy, serving as a way to train physicians and create benchmarks for the necessary amount of force applied during colonoscopies.
Research on the CFM is reaching the final stages and will soon be brought before the FDA for approval.
