Here are 30 gastroenterology deals to know in 2023 and 2024, according to a 2025 corporate finance report from KPMG.

2024:

  • In November, Cardinal Health bid to acquire GI Alliance. 
  • In November, Albany (N.Y.) Gastroenterology was acquired by Allied Digestive Health.
  • In October, Columbia-based Gastro Center of Maryland was acquired by Capital Southwest and Saltoun Capital Partners.
  • In July, Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Gastrocare was acquired by SurgNet Health Partners, which is backed by Fulcrum Equity Partners and Leavitt Equity Partners.
  • In May, New York City-based Gramercy Park Digestive Disease Center was acquired by Surgery Partners.
  • In April, Covenant Physician Partners was acquired by Tenet’s United Surgical Partners.
  • In March, Mesa, Ariz.-based Reddy GI Associates was acquired by Gastro Care Partners, backed by Varsity Healthcare Partners.
  • In February, Orlando, Fla.-based Gastroenterology & Nutrition Specialists was acquired by Gastro Health, backed by OMERS Private Equity.
  • In January, GI Alliance acquired Greenville, S.C.-based Gastroenterology Associates, Cranston, R.I.-based Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates and Providence, R.I.-based University Gastroenterology.

  • Also in December, Endoscopy & Digestive Center of Woodbridge (Va.) was acquired by Gastro Health.
  • In September, Wilmington-based GI Specialists of Delaware was acquired by US Digestive Health, backed by Amulet Capital Partners and Ashlar Capital.
  • In September, Atlantis-based Gastroenterology Consultants of Florida was acquired by Gastro Health.
  • In August, New York City-based Brooklyn Gastroenterology and Endoscopy was acquired by Allied Digestive Health, backed by Assured Healthcare Partners. 
  • In August, Altoona, Pa.-based Blair Gastroenterology Associates was acquired by US Digestive Health.
  • In June, GI Alliance acquired Silverdale, Wash.-based Digestive Health Consultants, Ocean Springs, Miss.-based Digestive Health Center and Specialists in St. Louis-based Gastroenterology Partners.
