•    In 2013, the most in-demand GI specialty was general, followed by pediatrics and hepatology.
•    Between 2012 and 2013, gastroenterology-specific employer types exhibited an increase in interest: practice management and consulting firms up 80 percent, healthcare search firms up 40 percent and hospitals/health systems up 4 percent.
•    Between 2012 and 2013, Ohio had the greatest increase, 73 percent, in gastroenterologist job postings.
