Saneso’s colonoscope has a 360-degree multidirectional view with five cameras, according to a news release. Traditional colonoscopes have a 140- to 170-degree field of view, which causes them to miss up to 40 percent of polyps.

An independent study found Saneso’s colonoscope discovered more polyps than single-camera devices and that discovery of the additional polyps was not predicated on a physician’s experience level or practice environment, the release said.
