Dalton, Ga.-based Hamilton Health Care System opened a cardiology practice in Cleveland, Tenn., according to a recent LinkedIn post from the health system. 

WebMD released the results of the hospitals and health systems that providers prefer the most for cardiology in the U.S.

From August 2022 to 2023, cardiology patient volumes increased in four of five geographic regions in the U.S., according to an Oct. 26 "Strata and Syntellis Performance Trends" report, which reviewed data from 2,000 hospitals and 135,000 physicians nationwide.

The highest paid cardiologist in San Diego earns $749,800, according to Medscape's salary reporter tool, which is much higher than the mean annual wage of $421,330 cardiologists make, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Physician Network added Islam Badawy, DO, to its team of cardiologists.

Huntington, W. Va.-based Marshall Health Network has added two cardiologists to its team, including George Linsenmeyer III, MD, and Zachary Curtis, MD, according to an Oct. 30 report from the Loop Press.
