Madison-based Children's Wisconsin and UW Health have entered into a joint venture that merges their congenital heart disease programs, according to a Dec. 12 report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Pediatric Cardiology Associates and Tampa Bay Adult Congenital Heart Center physicians have joined BayCare Medical Group, BayCare's physician practice, which operates facilities in Brandon, Lakeland, Safety Harbor, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Tampa and Wesley Chapel, Fla. 

HonorHealth Scottsdale (Ariz.) Shea Medical Center recently became the first non-clinical trial site in the state to use the Edwards Evoque system to perform a tricuspid heart valve replacement.

Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio, has added cardiologist Tarif Kanaan, MD, to its medical team, the Northwest Signal reported Dec. 5. 

Philip Ades, MD, a "prominent cardiologist and pioneer" in cardiac rehabilitation, died Nov. 27, according to a Dec. 4 obituary published by Legacy.com.
