Here are five numbers that provide a snapshot of the cardiology industry, per Medscape's "Cardiologist Compensation Report 2023."

Fifty-one percent of cardiologists participate in a fee-for-service payment model, according to Medscape's 2023 "Cardiologist Compensation Report."

Although the mean annual wage among all cardiologists in the U.S. is $421,330, that can vary based on factors including experience and practice setting, according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational employment statistics survey.
