In May 2022, Salem-based Pacific Cardiovascular Center became the first single-specialty cardiovascular ASC certified in the state of Oregon. 

A lawsuit has been filed against Great Valley Cardiology in Scranton, Pa., an affiliate of Commonwealth Health System, following a data breach that compromised the personal information of 181,764 patients, according to a June 26 report from The Times-Tribune.

Cardiology is one of the fastest growing ASC specialties as Medicare payments increase and more procedures are approved for the outpatient setting.
